All the cynical, manipulatory political theater cannot disguise the fact that the worst enemy faced by America is internal and called the GOP, in diabolical combination with corporate sociopaths in the 1% bracket of wealth.
We all know it. We must rise up and bring them down, remove Sociopathic Criminals Using Money against us from society, and take the trillions upon trillions they’ve stolen back into the nation’s revenue flow. We must quite simply change entirely an entirely corrupt system.
A parliamentary style multiple party system with direct democracy would work best.
Prior to even that, we must reinstitute the regulations, checks, and balances so systematically destroyed by the right wing fascists.
We are currently a fascist police state and only We The People, the 99%, the Occupiers openly notice, care, and act upon this fact. En masse, the public is cowed, numb, and disgusted past participation, as planned. The public is dumbed down, as education has been thoroughly destroyed by right wingers since at least Reagan. The scum from Nixon’s basement, Dicks Like Cheney, have burrowed deep and riddle the government at all levels. Obama, a centrist in the first place, cannot hope to shift things back toward a liberal slant, and doesn’t try, frankly. No figurehead Republican or embattled Democrat President can do much in this utterly corrupt system. It is rigged and stacked against genuine reform. What Obama has managed to accomplish in the face of that hateful bigoted obstructionism and personal attacks is nothing short of remarkable, but it remains fragile, token progress in light of the monstrous right wing, with its vile predations and crimes.
We need to admit that USA was murdered in the coma Reagan put it into by Dicks Like Cheney, and we need to do a clean re-install; default mode won’t do it anymore, and voting is increasingly a theatrical farce, as we see each time the exit polls don’t even vaguely match the “count”. And this does not even take into account voter suppression, which disenfranchises ever more each cycle thanks to GOP crimes.

Why bother? many ask. It’s already too late, the world is already going to expunge us with global warming’s many catastrophes. Now that the permafrost in Siberia’s tundra is melting, releasing untold billions of tons of methane and carbon dioxide, a runaway greenhouse warming is inevitable, and coming much sooner than we’d calculated. Even if humanity were erased right now, Earth would continue to slingshot toward Venusian temperatures of 900° Celsius. Even the 1% scum won’t survive much longer. We have been rendered an extinct species by the right wing’s capitalist greed and short-sighted rapacity. We are now an extinct species just waiting to fall down and stop moving. Twenty to a hundred years may be all that’s left to us, no matter what we do.
My answer is to ask a simple question: Why not at least carry revenge to our killers? Why not at least go out free of the sociopaths who fostered our extinction?
There is not likely to be a legacy, or even a trace of us, in the foreseeable future, so we’ve become a terminal patient seeking only comfort. As a Pict, I’d rather go out fighting against the proven enemy.
