A Set of Pointed Questions About TV’s Prudery

Just passing through the room and thought I’d toss out something:

I just heard this phrase on the most recent GHOST ADVENTURES: “She never believed in ghosts, hauntings, or any of that bullshit.” The final word was said casually and was not bleeped. When later that same word cropped up again, the shit part was bleeped.

TV’s prudery needs to fuck itself.  It is censorship, a fascist idiocy, and intolerable.  Why must we bow to being treated as if we’re fragile, terrified idiots who will freak out at the very hint of a set of words arbitrarily demonized and called taboo by a few lunatics?

Community standards? What are the communities or standards used to set the bar at so childish a level? Why do we let ourselves acept as normal such arbitrary, ad hoc bullying?

Who ever complains anyway? A few blue nosed religionists. Why appease these fringe crazies? What do we fear from such irrelevant, backwards superstition mongers?

Okay, gotta keep moving. Feel free to weigh in, and definitely feel free to free yourself from these petty martinets who fear and hate everything.
