Feeling panic beginning to set in? That harsh edge of peer pressure starting to make you jittery and sick in the stomach? Remember something: Corporate media makes shit up to replace facts, then drums those shit points into everyone’s head to convince us that War Is Peace, or Wrong Is Right, or Romney Leads Obama.
Fact is, the Rombott’s got about a 19% base and that’s it. They’ll vote en bloc due to racism. He knows and counts on that. We are two distinct cultures on this land mass. The barbarian red states want to return to slavery, plantation owners, fake aristocracy, and no social contract.
The anti-barbarian blue states want progress toward social equality, kindness, compassion, and the common good. That’s what’s being played out in these scurrilous modern politics and Citizens United money flood that so steeply slants the corporate-owned media.
Keeping it psychologically “close” is what allows the GOP to steal elections, such as the notorious electoral coup that stole it from Gore for the Cheney Junta, or the equally notorious Supreme Court coup, etc. Factor in Jeb in FL where the chads all hang, where count is stopped, and where he simply could not lose for his brother. Or factor in Ohio, which was proven to have cheated heavily to put W in; now all the Ohio voting machines are owned by the Rombot family, as presided over by little Skintagg himself.
Yeah, this is shaping up to be pretty much a rape of democracy, to augment the mugging we’ve seen in the past. All leading up to its outright murder by the 1% anit-democracy rich. Those are who we must bring down first, then we can clean up all their sociopathic minions.
Why don’t more of us realize all this?
We are quite literally UN-educated. Any education we have they try to take from us. This is because they are anti-intellectual, knowing dullards are easier to dupe. They being republicant right wingers.
Nixon’s Southern ploy was to appeal to the Dixie states’ bigotry. It worked. Since then, the GOP has embraced an increasingly vile set of bigotries. What was once the Dixie Democrats is now the GOP and the teabaggers are the result. Crazy, stupid, and hateful, afraid of reality, unable to deal with anything in an adult way, these sick fucks are bent on instituting a theocracy of fear and hate.
They are also being used by the 1% rich anti-democracy types in order to maintain their fake aristocracy of privilege and obscene consumption. Donald Trump, the Koch suckers, Richard Mellon Scaife, Roger Ailes, Rupert Murdoch, and so on. Those are America’s enemies, literally. Those people hate and work hard to destroy the ideals America was founded on. We need to acknowledge this and fight them specifically.
Until we do they’ll have the money and organization. This is not a new threat. It was explicitly dealt with ever since America revolted from the British Empire. We need to stay vigilant against these fake patriotic groups, these subversives and liars, these distracting buffoons, and these implacable enemies of democracy. We the people can prevail, we’ve done it before. We must fight them specifically and understand why we fight.
We fight for what is covered in the Preamble to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and for the benefit of the people over privilege, wealth, and greed. We fight for human freedom, equality, and dignity against sociopaths who seek to enslave and own. We fight for union, not division. We fight for us, not for us versus them.
It’s not difficult. All it takes is a refusal to be bullied, duped, or blindsided.
“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”
That is how you prevent ambush. The military calls it Situational Awareness. Be alert to your surroundings.
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
Mocked as a tautology, FDR’s admonition means simply that it is fear that stampedes us into giving up our precious freedoms and liberties in trade for the lie and illusion of security.
Live your life unafraid and don’t let panic rule you, or hysteria, or pressure, or bullying. Culture change starts inside each of us. Let’s stop the fascist bullies by making them irrelevant.
