Yes, I Write Novels

Someone mentioned Salman Rusdie being tossed to the wolves during the whole fatwa against him thanks to The Satanic Verses and religious bigotry.

I’ve written a novel about that. Well, actually, it’s about the choosing, training, and experiences of the guy Neo Con spooks send to kill Rushdie in order to curry favor with Big Oil Arabs. The assassin, coerced and tortured into doing what he does, balks at the end. The consequences for him are appalling and the rest is history.

The book combines his story with snippets of missions from other times and places in America’s long history of covert operations, and is well-researched but not (quite) roman-a-clef. It features a chilling method of coercion called Scrimshaw Fever. You don’t really want to know why…

Any reputable publisher who’d be interested in it, make a fair offer. It’s available, and it’s a solid thriller.  It is called Dead To Rights.
