The Intelligence of Books

The American Revolution was founded on BOOKS.

The root of the word “intelligence” is interesting.

In = not. Tele = communicate. Gens = people.

So Intelligence means Not For The People. Hidden. Occult.

That’s how it was played back then. That’s how it is played today. So you see what radical notions Science and Transparency can be.

Those in power want to keep intelligence for themselves. Ben Franklin thwarted that with the free public library system. He did so precisely to spread the power of knowledge, (scientia potent, remember, knowledge is power), from being concentrated at the top of society.

Austerity measures are just a way of starving the beast of democracy, same as has been done with education and so much else. It is a ploy used by the 1% corporate fascists, the aristos of old, the plantation owner types, to subvert and slowly destroy practices and institutions that have kept them from tyranny over us.

We the people must keep our access to information or we will lose our power and see democracy become just another cynically re-defined buzz word used by the tyrants to mock us.

The American Revolution was founded on BOOKS.
