Someone walks up to you and your loved ones and begins swinging an axe and just chopping the bloody hell out of your loved ones. Bet you stand there “loving” them and “forgiving” them and saying, “Oh, there’s still hope” as your loved ones heads go bouncing.

Or do you wade in, interpose yourself between your loved ones and danger, and stand up for them, defend them even if it gets you chopped up?
Yet we allow psychopathic corporate fascists to do exactly this. They are destroying our lives, our jobs, our families, our minds, our environments, and our futures for short-term gain that benefits, ultimately, about 500 people. We are letting them.
Oh, sure, the bullies would rather you remain passive. “Keep you doped with religion, sex, and TV but you’re still fucking peasants as far as I can see.” / John Lennon sang that in “Working Class Hero”. He nailed it.
Magical thinking and “faith” (pretending hope counts for more than facts) don’t cut it. Dream on. Sorry if I woke you. Fact is, though, you want to cross the bridge built by fact. By rationality, logic, engineering, and science. Not the one built by pretending.
So enough with turning the other cheek and inflicting peace like it is the bully’s armor. I’m saying we need to DO something. Rise Up Now. RUN. Are You In?
And when I assess what we can do, is it reverse the death of our environment? No.
Is it bring down the motherfuckers who did this to us, and continue to do it to us? YES.
And guess what? If we did that, then we’d maybe, just maybe, after stopping their depredations, discover there might just possibly be a slim hope after all.
Stop being pushed around. Push back, hard. Their vulnerability is profit, money, and the influence over power it buys them. Take it away from them. Boycott, sabotage, vandalize, but don’t get caught and you didn’t hear it here. Foment justified social unrest. Agitate, dissent, and protest. Form labor unions and establish fair and safe workplaces. Insist upon universal single payer health care immediately. Insist on halving, at least, the Pentagon’s war machine budget. Go green. Rid us of the two-party Punch & Judy show and institute a multi-party parliamentary system with recall and no confidence votes. Be represented by representing yourselves. That’s what democracy is. It is NOT voting machines that cheat us blind. It is NOT thuggish crack downs by storm trooper cops who think they’re paramilitary goons. It is NOT the subversion of level playing fields by collusion, extortion, and other cheating. It sure as fuck is not paying off banksters who “fail” (steal our money outright). Rewarding high crimes is America’s biggest idiocy.
Eliminate the psychopaths from access to power. They’re easily identified, and many of their actions can be legally disallowed, too. Lobbying. Pay-off jobs after “serving” (themselves) in office. Bribery and slush funds, soft money, Congress scum being allowed insider trading when it’s a federal crime for everyone else. We all know what is illegal and unethical. Unconstitutional. So do it now. Rise Up Now. Bring down the criminals and start again building a government of, by, and for the people.
