Book Jump

No clue, but true department: We were playing cards here once and a book lying flat on a counter fell loudly flat onto the floor.

We all looked. Hm, we thought. We put it back. It did it again, this time some of us seeing it. It literally raised up and did an arc before falling flat as if dropped.

We put it back a third time and all watched it as we continued playing cards. Sure enough, it did it again, this time jumping in a higher arc and going farther. A book lying flat securely on a counter. Nothing visible.

We put it elsewhere, shrugged, and kept playing cards. That’s sort of how we are about such matters.
