Hovering Alone

Hovering between a loathing for mankind and                                                                             An urgent desire to fight back against the fascists                                                                       We the people made possible by our apathy,                                                                                    I find my hands drawn constantly to my weapons                                                                        Of keyboard, words, and sharpened tongue.                                                                                    If it’s all I have, I’ll use it until it is of no use to me.                                                                    Not once do I expect it to make the slightest difference.                                                          This is battle we must each wage for ourselves alone.
