Positive thinking, N V Peale’s peep show for flat-chested strippers, is what drives trunt. He’s programmed to think repeating something makes it true. Fact does not affect his delusions. This explains his bloated ego. If he says it, he thinks it’s real. If he says he’s the greatest ever, he pretends that’s a fact. This is known, technically, as being nuts. Crazy. Insane. Disconnected from reality.
Add to this malignant narcissism. He thinks only of himself, and behaves in a zero sum way, so that, for him to win, which he must always feel he has done, others must lose. This makes him a cruel, sadistic bully with a lust for vengeance. All he obsesses about is revenge against anyone he imagines to have slighted him. Petty, petulant, pissy shit-smearing results.
It gets worse when we factor his psychopathology. He’s a psychopath, willing to say or do anything to get his momentary whim or wish. Up to and including violence, he will triumph, in his own view, no matter what the cost. He does not see other people, or anything, as real, except in the way it buttresses his ego. If it doesn’t feed his self-regard, it’s nothing. This is why he’ll ignore genuine pain, suffering, and death, makes jokes about tragedy, and ignores duties.
We need to realize, further, that trunt is not the only one like this. He is a magnet for sociopaths and psychopaths, the distinction held to here being that a sociopath will do or say anything to get his own way but a psychopath adds violence and even killing into the mix. Neither has conscience, or other human feelings. Seriously, the are people-shaped things, pesh. Not actually human; they lack basic components that define humanity.
Not only is he not the only one, and not only does he draw this sort of thing to him, the entire GOP, the republicants, has become the Gang Of Psychopaths. Treason, currently being revealed layer by layer, link by link, bribe by bribe, betrayal by betrayal, is nothing to them, as long as their position and power is enhanced and their pocketbooks filled. Greed. Lust for power. No humanity. Sound familiar?
We are living through a phase of human history, probably the final one, in which pesh are making an all-out assault on humanity. Human against pesh, and the problem is, pesh cheat. Without hesitation or regret. Never a blink of conscience or recrimination. No doubt hobbles them.
Altruism is a key aspect of humanity, one that many think allowed us to make it so far, accomplish so much, but we’ve forgotten that we did this despite the efforts of the pesh. Aristocrats is what rich pesh like to call themselves. They rig civilization so it feeds them the benefits of all human labor. They want it all, now, or no one can have anything, and they are willing to kill literally everyone, even themselves, to spite any challenge to their autonomy.
That’s where we are now because, for the first time ever, the pesh have seized control of society AND have control of weapons of mass destruction. The last time the pesh held ascendancy, we called it The Dark Ages, and it was the church, not corporate fascism, lording it over us. No weapons of mass destruction existed, nothing instant anyway. Yes, famine and pestilence were available, but slow, unsure, and — we’re here now, right? — ineffectual.
These days the pesh have NBC, Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical weapons. The vast majority of humanity can be murdered now in a literal flash, one tenth of a second, vaporized. The few remaining will find the environment demolished and impossible to survive. They’d die shortly after the blasts.
So, for the first time ever, mankind’s worst enemy, humanity’s Nemesis, can opt for the zero sum end game and simply kick the game board over forever.
What are we doing about it? Anything?
Beyond diminishing the pesh’s influence — I doubt we can ever rid ourselves of all of them, unless another mutation happens to accomplish this — we must also face the fact that global warming, climate change, environmental collapse, the runaway greenhouse effect, Earth going Venus is going to make it impossible for sentient life to exist on the planet, likely within the lives of many alive right now.
Perhaps we’ve already been murdered by the pesh among us, the people-shaped predators who look like human beings but who are not.
Only one advantage has presented itself: The pesh have come out of the woodwork, excited by what they perceive as their apotheosis. We know who they are now. They self-identify as GOP and Capitalists. Masks are off, gloves too. They think they’ve won, despite their dread, even fear, of what’s coming to smash them utterly sooner than they can predict. They’re arrogant.
Maybe it’s too little, too late, but what we inarguably have left to us is revenge against our murderers. That, we can take. You know full well the right wing GOP types would do it in a blink without any concerns at all. Will we?
Probably not. We’re human beings.
