Critical thought has (been) atrophied so we take one step out of the corporate box and jump to emotionalism. Analysis, logic, rationality are not tossed aside, they are not even present in the first place, having been flensed from schools decades ago. Schooling replaced education, then came outright indoctrination, rote learning, regurgitation of meaningless, approved facts, the imposing of conformity, and “active shooter drills”, certainly an implicit threat of death in a place supposedly safe for children. Every step dropped more books to pick up more civil control.
Once we were threatened by failure and poverty if we botched or skipped school. Now these misfits are drugged. Chemical chains work for controlling people but don’t help them to learn or grow into productive, creative citizen who can think for themselves.
It’s mind control aimed at the lowest common denominator.
Along with all this, the middle class was systematically taken apart and scattered or destroyed. This meant the income gap deepened. Between well off and impoverished, a narrow zone of wage slaves were cultivated. Gig economy came along once jobs stopped lasting for more than a few years. Gone were lifelong professions, replaced by political sinecures, no-show jobs, and other corruption. We used to inherit the skills and crafts, the jobs our fathers did. Now, by the time we’re grown and leave home, our fathers have had dozens of jobs, and we’ve learned to eat rice, beans, and cheese.
What or who has done such things?
Desperate for demolish democracy, fascists seek to sabotage education to make an informed electorate impossible.
They also destroyed the news gathering and reporting, first shifting it from public service and civic responsibility to snuggle under the wing of entertainment. This let profit seep in as a main goal of news.
Intelligence, both in the form of information and in the form of mentality, starved and became difficult to check on when it cropped up. We lack the data needed to decide on matters important to our lives because corporate decided to restrict our diet.
We are in a box buried decades ago by genuinely evil psychopaths who gained access to power. Their goal is total control for their profit.
The pesh is what lays exposed as humanity’s murderer. The pesh made us the walking extinct. Human extinction will now happen within the lifetimes of people living right now.
A sociologist or anthropologist in a recent news squib I cannot now find — another aspect of news manipulation — claimed humanity had once slaughtered its psychopaths and sociopaths, to the benefit of humanity. Society did this, the article asserted, in self defense, before the psychopaths and sociopaths could destroy the human beings. The article strongly hinted it’s time for another such purge.
Should we eradicate the pesh en masse for the survival of human beings?
People-shaped predators among us? PEople SHapes, the pesh, are not just wolves in sheep’s wool, they’re us, flawed. They are not human, but are shaped in human forms. Lacking in conscience, empathy, or restraint, they prey on those hobbled by such things. They do not understand altruism. Only their selfish goals count to them. They’ll kill for a stick of gum and not think twice about it.
The pesh are humanity’s dire worst enemy.
They are — no intention to trivialize this point — human beings’ krytonite. Being near them weakens and eventually kills humanity. The pesh will be humanity’s extinction, even though they are a sub-group of mankind, simply because they cannot think past their own lust, greed, envy, and hunger for power and wealth. They are the bane of people’s existence.
The pesh = extinction if we fail to eradicate them.
A good start is removing them from access to any kind of power over others, ever. They are easy to identify with the 44 point Inventory of Psychopathy. The higher the score, the worse their danger.
Keep in mind, all of us score a few points on this observational test. If you remember the Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer movie, BLADE RUNNER, directed by Ridley Scott, or the root novel, Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? you’ll be familiar with the Voight-Kampf Test. It’s administered by Ford to the high-end android, or replicant as the film terms it, Rachel, played by Sean Young, in order to determine if she’s human or manufactured. It takes her test an inordinate number of questions and responses, so good is her programming.
What we’re seeing depicted is a double image. It’s both the Turing Test, proposed by cyberneticist and mathematician Alan Turing, used as a litmus test for Artificial Intelligence. If an AI can fool a human into thinking it’s human, then it’s possible sentient and self-aware.
The other half of the image we see in that eerie movie scene is the administering of the PPI, or the Psychopathic Personality Index. We see this in the very first scene of the film, too, when the replicant is answering questions about coming across a tortoise over-turned in the desert. Do you help it? Kill it? Ignore it? These questions make the replicant nervous, and then the questioner asks about his mother. “Let me tell you about my mother.” Of course a replicant has none, so he pulls an energy gun and begins shooting his way out.
Escaping the identity of being a psychopath, using psychopathic violence.
With the replicant Rachel, there are implanted memories. Memory makes identity, is one of the motifs of the film. It is a valid psychological and scientific concept. By layering the Turing test and the PPI, PKD and Ridley Scott demonstrate that these meat robots, androids, replicants, (replicating human slaves, essentially), are without genuine feelings.
Ah, but then comes the scene in which Ford’s character Rick Deckard makes Sean Young’s Rachel the replicant cry. He does this by telling her the memories in her had of childhood actually belong to her maker’s daughter. They’re implanted and phony. This upsets her deeply, as it would unsettle any … human being.
How is this possible?
Her sentience has allowed her to develop the very aspects we cite and cherish as human. She does have feelings now, and the implications of this is that Deckard’s job, to track down and kill the escaped replicants — who live only three years, remember, all of them as off-Earth slaves — is really murder. He’s an assassin, not a robot clean-up guy protecting society from replicants run amok.
This gives him a crisis of conscience, even as he continues doggedly pursuing his assignment. In at least one version/interpretation of BLADE RUNNER, Deckard is himself a replicant, constantly watched by human Detective Gaff — look up “gaff” for a “laff” — played by Edward James Olmos, in case he, too, goes rogue. At the end, once Deckard has eliminated all the escaped replicants, Gaff says, “You’ve done a man’s work, sir.” And he lets Deckard live, rather than turning him off, as originally assigned to do.
These considerations make vivid and bring home each aspect of the question, What Is Human? It addresses directly psychopathia and humanity’s vicious lack of conscience when fighting them.
Social liberals might cry that, by identifying the enemy of human as pesh, dehumanizing is at work. The rational retort is, pesh are not human to begin with.
Therein lies the debate’s crux. Its fulcrum of either/or where a balance of reasonable approaches slips forever out of reach.
As we debate, or sit gaping, society erodes from the corrosion of pesh in control of government, in corporate, and in so many other areas of our world. Corruption is how they operate, buying what they can, killing to get what bribes won’t gain for them. A minority can hold sway against the will of the people, it can embrace treason and sell us all out in exchange for protecting their illegal investments with oligarchs and other extra-national, global criminal enterprises. Sex trafficking, stealing and selling and using children in VIP bordello parties, and developing kompromat — compromising pictures, films, and documents with which to extort and coerce VIPs, in order to manipulate society regardless of democratic, voted wishes — creates a nearly-untouchable fortress of corruption. With a polarized nation, and news organizations serving only one side of the artificially-divided two party system, we seen investigation and revelation quashed when a story sloshes over into both camps.
We are in a position to identify why humanity is about to be killed off by unwarranted, needless pollution, radiation, and insane violence. We know corporate = psychopathic, and that corporate mentality — demanding profit über alles, regardless of human cost — developed and refines psychopathic behavior as a matter of course. Harvard Law and Business schools, and all with lesser reputations, deserved or not, teach how to cheat and how to find loopholes and how to exploit. It’s the pesh and we can ID them easily.
We fail to bar them from power.
Why?
We know what they are.
We know what harm they do, always and only.
It must be willful blindness, the trap of escapism.
It’s suicidal to let these people-shapes, these predatory things any kind of way near power over others.
Want to talk about an alien invation?
We don’t need one. Our genetic, tortured, flawed mutants, the pesh, suffice, and guess what, sparky? They’re winning big time.
Will no one do something? Will no one take action?
