Not sure the 1/6/21 hearings will make a dent. People don’t track. They’re kept busy with life trouble, from plagues and supply chain shortages to gnawing anxiety and collapsing healthcare.
Distraction from the coup.
Evidence from the hearing could not be stronger or more coherent. Justice sits. Does little, does nothing. Lets the coup go on.
Guy Fawkes did less. Nixon was a criminal but a speed bump by contrast to this rockslide. 6 January 2021 C.E. was the culmination of a planned coup that continues now by seizing control of election processes.
Nothing is being done.
Committee findings condemn the coup leaders and foot soldiers utterly, yet the committee can but suggest the Justice Department bring criminal charges.
Congressional committees can’t issue them.
Is Justice playing rope-a-dope to allow the committee to gather more evidence and testimony than Justice subpoenas would produce? If so, will action be taken? Will it be in time to thwart a seizure of power in 2024 by the treasonous GOP?
Testimony is wider, deeper, and paints a far worse picture of how dire, vile, and evil the coup was, and is, than we’ve known.
Sure, the general shape has been clear all along, but now the shroud has been pulled off, the stained sheet tosses aside, and the corpse, rotten and sickening, lies exposed. Worse, the worms still animate it.
A clear and present danger exists from this continuing coup. “An affront without precedent,” as former Federal Judge Luttig called it. He warned the coup continues to stalk a seizure of power in 2024, yet no one is standing up to or against it in any substantive way as coup organizers seed the democratic electoral processes, top to bottom, with treasonous magats.
Where is the vision, conviction, and political will to crush the GOP’s treason? Judge Luttig thinks only the GOP can stop the coup.
That’s like thinking only Hitler could stop Nazism.
America needs to wake up and slap down this treason immediately with the full weight and to the full extent of the Rule of Law, which should be reinstated at once so we might use it to save democracy.
Watch the hearings, hear that they’re telling us, and demand an end to this domestic cult of fascist nihilism.
